What kind of accordion is the easiest to play….?
What kind of accordion is the easiest to play? The piano type or the one with the buttons?
I believe the Piano Accordion is the easiest because
the keyboard follows the familar musical scale.
When we learn music we learn about the natural notes, and the sharps and flats.. The white keys are the natural notes, and the black keys are the sharps and flats… so that alone
makes it easier to learn the piano accordion…
Later When You learn to make chords, again You Can see
and learn the 1st, 3rd, 5th for major chords, and the
veriations using flats and sharps.. for minors, seventh,
and diminished chords.
One note on the side.. you’ll have to learn more about
forming chords for different keys on a piano accordion..
where on a chromatic button accordion.. the same
fingering and positions are used no matter what key you
are playing in.. all you do is slide down…
I’ve tried both.. and I’m sure pro button accordionist would
say they prefer what they know too..
It just seems weird to be twisting your fingers around
the way the scale is designed on the button type right hands.
So I have to say.. it’s easier to play the piano accordion.
And .. You Are half way home to playing a piano too!
